St. Louis Area Frontiers information (coming soon) |
Missouri Conservation Frontiers is a program that will help you learn about Missouris natural resources and how to enjoy and protect them. We hope it will also help you become a good conservationist.
You will learn about our states natural resources by doing the activities in this Program Guide. As you complete the activities, you will earn points that make you eligible to receive special Frontiers awards. Adult leaders may also earn points and receive awards. The points and awards are described in the next section.
Your Frontiers leader will help you get started in the program. Talk to your leader if you have questions or need help with any of the activities. If you start the program through a school or youth organization, you may get a parent or other adult to be your sponsor. As long as you have a sponsor, you may continue in the program. (Note: Many activities, such as identification activities, should be conducted outdoors.)
Do you have friends who would like to enroll in the Missouri Conservation Frontiers program? Tell them to ask their parents, grandparents, older brothers or sisters or other adults to write for more information. Anyone can join-including adults-but children and teenagers need an adult sponsor (at least 18 years of age) to help them get started in the Frontiers program. Our address: Outreach and Education Division, Missouri Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180.
